Ella has been active in the medical transcription industry since 1991 both as a medical transcriptionist and a business owner. Her business experience includes over 20 years integrating technology and health care.

Most recently, Ella was president of Northeast Transcription Inc., a Portland, Maine company that she co-founded in 1994. Her previous career was as a medical photographer and audiovisual producer for healthcare organizations, including Maine Medical Center.

Ella received a BA in English from the University of South Carolina.
