Welcome to our new website and our blog, both of which reflect the rapidly changing environment of healthcare IT and our company’s role in facilitating that change.  We hope that we have created a forum through which you can become better-informed and participate in the community discussion about the emerging role of healthcare IT.

MD-IT is uniquely qualified to comment on the transcription versus technology debate.  We started as a software company whose products replaced traditional transcription.  The Company enjoyed moderate success but we came to realize then that doctors had very good reasons to prefer the traditional dictation/transcription process for documenting patient visits, while the rest of the community has very good reasons for wanting digitally useful electronic medical records.

Our solution was to become a transcription company that integrated powerful technology behind the scenes to create electronic records, while allowing physicians to work and document in any manner they choose, thus making the most productive use of their time. By developing software solutions that solve our client’s toughest workflow issues, MD-IT has emerged as the leader in medical documentation services and technology for the ambulatory market.

With the passing of the ARRA legislation and push for electronic records, Congress has opened a wide-ranging debate over the future of healthcare delivery and the processes around which healthcare will be supported.  We look forward to the conversation.
